Painters' League is an organization at LSU for students either majoring or expressing an interest in painting. This group provides opportunities for artists to broaden their horizons, We are your lifeline, painters.
Our art club was born when students recognized a need for a consistent resource that we could all pour into and benefit from. The League concentrates helpful tools into easily accessible resources like small, comfortable faculty lectures, visiting artist lectures, members-only dinners, art-intensive trips, and abundant opportunities to show off, sell your work, and get your name out. If you're feeling way in over your head with your art, don't worry about that either. We have our own open-ended and helpful critiques, sans professors. All this, not to mention random events like painting potluck parties that give us a chance to hang out or talk about whatever's on the collective mind.
Part of being an artist is being part of the art world. It constantly moves and changes, and consists of other artists, too. We're in this together. The Painters' League is here to help you out, and at the least, to be a resource you can tap into.
Yearly dues of $25 make everything we do for you possible. Feel free to contact us with any questions. Stick around, stay involved, and keep painting! We'll be in touch.
Meetings are held every other Wednesday at 7pm in the Studio Arts Building.
